At Global Health Solutions we understand how difficult it is for Health Care Workers to train while they are working and for Health Care Providers to fit in training for a full time employees. We are also aware that a number of people who have migrated to the UK without having done the courses that are required as mandatories, have not been able to work or be provided with enough hours by their employer as they have not been trained to the required level accepted by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Without a doubt, it is daunting to jungle all the competing factors involved with migrating, having new a job, learning a new culture, climatizing, feeling home sick and try fitting in training required can all be too much to balance.
Wrapped up in 1 Course instead of 15 & 1 Portfolio instead of 15 individual workbooks, the Care Certificate is written in a clear and simplistic way to get the best out of all new recruits right from the beginning. The Care Certificate will be done in two parts, online while still in home country and face to face classroom training soon after arriving in UK.
This is why we have made it easy for candidates to train while in the comfort of their own country so that by the time of arrival, all that will be left is for the staff to be inducted by their employer into their new job. The employer induction will be done after staff have had their face to face classroom training.
We are aware that employers find it difficult to fit training in-between shifts and calls and that they would rather candidates are ready to work not too long after their arrival. Hence why we have put this solution in place
Working in collaboration with some of UK's largest and most recognised training providers, Global Health Solutions are Proud to work in partnership with Care Skills Academy and The Health & Safety Group in delivering CPD Accredited, Skills for Care endorsed training for our staff.
The Care Certificate is not mandatory in a statutory sense, but the expectation is that all health and care workers will obtain one. In other words, not having one will greatly reduce the chance of obtaining work in the health and care sector in the UK. In addition, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) expects all care providers to adhere to the 15 standards established for the Care Certificate programme if they:
The Care Certificate is designed to be completely portable. Therefore, if you change jobs after receiving your Care Certificate there is no need to be retested before you can assume your duties with the new employer.
The Care Certificate is delivered on line while candidate is in their home country and also one day face to face classroom training on arrival in UK. Candidates are issued with a work book at the end of the face to face training that they will take to their employer for their work place assessments. There are 15 standards in total.
The Care Certificate Standards
This is our list of Mandatory courses that we have created. It is over and above what is stated by the regulator, however, we believe that the ones we added are very important for care workers to have a good understanding of.
